Yesterday was such an amazing day. I only realized how amazing it was when the day was ending and news from all over the world came pouring in. I don't think that there was ever a time when the whole world celebrated the victory of a candidate for the President of the United States of America.

Why is Obama's victory so amazing? Perhaps it is the message of hope that he has been spreading. Perhaps, because the last 8 years have been really crappy for the whole world, everyone is looking forward to a better brighter future. Everyone is looking forward to peace and looking forward to a world where we do not have to be wary about our neighbours anymore.

Perhaps it is also the fact that finally an african american man has defied all odds to become the president of a country whose people once unfairly treated blacks as less than human beings.

Whatever it is, the world is celebrating and looking towards a future which looks so bright, we need shades.
